Vote for Burguesa Burger in the Dallas Observer’s Best of Dallas

August 23, 2010

Dallas Observer Best of Dallas 2010 headerDo you love Burguesa Burger? We thought you might. So show the love in the Dallas Observer’s Best of Dallas 2010 readers poll. Don’t say we didn’t warn you: this sucker is long. But you can be lazy like us and just fill in Burguesa where it counts: for best burger and best fries. Heck, you might even throw it in for best breakfast, because we do make some mean (and cheap!) breakfast tacos and burritos. Plus, our salsa is homemade. Wait! That’s another one!  You have until September 9. So get to voting and spread the word!

La Monumental at Burguesa Burger

Don't let La Monumental scare you.

Thank you to our friends over at the Oak Cliff Advocate for the nice write-up about Burguesa Burger. Rachel, we hope you’ll find the courage to come back and order the award-winning La Monumental! Here’s a hint: you can order a junior (one patty instead of two) and work your way up to the big daddy. And next time you must get the shake! Those little donuts are irresistible.

Burguesa Burger chief progress officer Charles Ballard and his wife, Amelita, were in Chicago recently at the 91st annual National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show. Nation’s Restaurant News published a recap of the NRA show in its June 14, 2010 edition, and the Ballards made it into the magazine’s party pics. They attended the celebration honoring this year’s MenuMasters award winners. Also at the shindig—though his photo only made the online edition!—was Burguesa Burger founder Jeff Sinelli.

Burguesa Burger Makes the List of 10 Lunches for Less Than $5 in the Advocate

June 21, 2010

Preston Hollow Advocate Loose Change LunchesLooks like our friends at the Preston Hollow edition of the Advocate recognize a good thing when they see one. Burguesa Burger—the original on Inwood Road—made the cut in the June 2010 cover story, “Loose Change Lunches” (aka “10 Lunches for Less Than $5,” which is how it reads online). The editors love our “funky, orange little shack” for its $3 hamburger, $4 double patty hamburger, and $1 breakfast tacos. Although it’s not mentioned in the article, we have to brag a little: La Monumental Jr. also slides in under the $5 mark, at $4.50.
